Rockets to host Zips for three games this weekend at Scott Park
TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo softball team continues Mid-American Conference play with a home series against Akron this weekend, March 28-29. All three games will be streamed on ESPN+.
Friday will be Bark in the Park where fans can bring their furry friends for a chance to win a prize. Saturday's games will serve as Cancer Awareness Day. Admission to all softball games at Scott Park is free.

- Toledo owns an overall record of 7-18 (2-4 MAC).
- The Rockets earned a 17-14 win in eight innings over Ball State last weekend. The team tied its season high with 18 hits and scored 17 runs, a mark tied for second in program history.
- Senior shortstop Eli Enriquez returned to the lineup last weekend for the first time since Feb. 16. Enriquez went 7-for-13 at the plate, scoring six runs and leading the team with a .538 batting average against Ball State. The senior is currently on an 11-game hitting streak.
- Senior Maris Barbato currently ranks first in the MAC and 29th nationally in toughest to strikeout, striking out twice in 66 at-bat appearances.
- Toledo ranks second in the MAC in double plays (12), stolen bases per game (1.36), sacrifice bunts (21) and total stolen bases (34).
- Sophia Knight has a staff-best 4.42 ERA and a 4-8 record. The senior has thrown 76.0 innings in 19 appearances. Knight has struck out 39 batters this season, totaling 331 career strikeouts which is good for eighth in program history.
