Toledo Drops Non-Conference Match to Penn State

Rockets return home for next four matches
UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The Toledo men's tennis team lost to Penn State, 4-0, in University Park, Pa. on Sunday afternoon.
Penn State (6-1) took the doubles point after claiming wins on the No. 2 and No. 3 courts. Poonthong Komolpisut and Joshua Mackey were in a close battle, down 4-3, on the No. 1 court before the match was abandoned.
In singles play, Penn State jumped out to a 3-0 lead after Hanamichi Carvajal fell in straight sets on the No. 1 court and Lucas Britez was defeated 6-3, 6-2 on the No. 4 court. Komolpisut forced a third set on the No. 2 court, but fell 6-3, 2-6, 7-6 (7-0) as Penn State clinched the match.
Matias Olivero forced a third set on the No. 3 court before it went unfinished, along with the No. 5 and 6 singles courts.
UP NEXT
Toledo (2-4) returns home to host Wayne State and Northwest Ohio on Sunday, Feb. 16 at Shadow Valley. Matches are set to begin at 1:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m., respectively.
