Toledo Adds Two Signees for 2025-26 Season

Head Coach Tracy Mauntler signs two incoming freshmen
TOLEDO, Ohio – University of Toledo Women's Tennis Head Coach Tracy Mauntler announced the signing of Anastasia Akuginova and Isabella Barretto to the Rockets' 2025-26 recruiting class on Wednesday. Akuginova and Barretto are the first signees in next year's class.
Anastasia Akuginova
Hometown: Moscow, Russia
High School: School 23 – P.M. Eraniev
Anticipated Major: Medicine

Coach Mauntler's take: "Anastasia is an incredibly talented tennis player with a lot of experience on the ITF circuit. She has seen a lot of success internationally. Anastasia will be an impact player immediately and we can't wait to welcome her to our Toledo Family."
Isabella Barretto
Hometown: Rochester, Mich.
High School: Stoney Creek High School
Anticipated Major: Exercise Science
About Isabella:
Coach Mauntler's take: "Izzy is an incredible athlete with a background in volleyball, track, and tennis. She has just recently decided to focus only on tennis and she improves every time I watch her play. I'm excited to see where her game can go in our structured environment here at Toledo. This program has been built with strong Midwest athletes and Izzy will continue that tradition."
