Colorado native to have two years of eligibility remaining
TOLEDO, Ohio - University of Toledo Head Men's Golf Coach Jeff Roope announced the addition of Zane Aiken (Parker, Colo.) to the Rockets' program on Tuesday. Aiken will begin attending the University of Toledo in the 2026-27 academic year after completing his current season at Central Alabama CC. He will have two years of eligibility remaining.
Aiken posted four Top 10 finishes and posted a 70.3 stroke average for the Trojans this fall. He captured the Bryan College Fall Invitational with a five-under par 208 (70-69-69) in October and the Dan York Memorial Invite with a one-over par 217 (75-68-74) in November. Aiken also registered seven rounds of even-par or lower this fall.
"Zane is an extremely competitive well-rounded player and will make a wonderful addition to the recruiting class we have joining our program next fall," Roope said. "He is focused, driven and has worked diligently over the last three years to get where he's at today. Zane has competed in some of the bigger amateur tournaments and he has his sights set really high for where he wants to take his game.
Aiken earned first-team all-state honors twice and second-team all-state accolades once in his prep career at Ponderosa High School.
