Kotel earns first-team honors with Bertényi receiving second-team accolades
TOLEDO, Ohio - Toledo senior Bence Kotel (Tihany, Hungary) received First-Team All-Mid-American Conference honors and sophomore Bence Bertényi (Budapest, Hungary) was named Second-Team All-MAC for the 2025-26 men's golf season, the league office announced on Friday.
Kotel's selection marks the seventh straight season the Rockets have had at least one first-team honoree under Head Coach Jeff Roope.
Kotel led UT with a career-low 72.8 stroke average this season. He tied for a career-best third place at Wisconsin's Badger Invitational last September after shooting a career-low nine-under par 207. Kotel was also named to the MAC's All-Tournament Team earlier this week after tying for fifth place at the MAC Championships.
