Cameron Bozyk and Brooks Pawlak joining Rockets' program
TOLEDO, Ohio - Head Coach Jeff Roope announced on Tuesday that Cameron Bozyk (Madison Hts., Mich.) and Brooks Pawlak (Kingwood, Texas) will transfer to the University of Toledo to join the Rockets' men's golf program for the 2026-27 campaign. Bozyk played last season at Oklahoma City University after spending the previous two years at Adrian College, while Pawlak has played the last three years at Houston Christian University.
"We're excited to welcome Cameron and Brooks to our program and believe they'll be outstanding additions to our university," Roope said. "I'm looking forward to seeing both represent the Rockets next fall."
A Ping NAIA All-Region selection with a 72.5 stroke average, Bozyk helped OCU capture the NAIA national title last month and earned medalist honors at the Kyle Blaser Invitational with a two-under par 142 (76-66) in March. Prior to his time with the Stars, Bozyk enjoyed a standout career at Adrian (2023-25), where he earned MIAA Golfer of the Year and First-Team All-MIAA honors after his sophomore season following a Second-Team All-MIAA selection as a freshman.
"I'm excited that Cameron will have the chance to compete close to home," Roope said. "He played a major role on a national championship team at Oklahoma City this past season and has continued to elevate his game."
Pawlak led the Huskies with a 72.5 stroke average this past season en route to earning First-Team All-Southland Conference honors. He finished in the Top 15 in six of 11 tournaments, including a fifth-place tie with an even-par 216 (73-72-71) at the Southland Conference Championship and a sixth-place tie with a nine-under-par 207 (68-74-65) at the La Tour Intercollegiate. Pawlak also won the La Tour event as a freshman with an eight-under par 208 (67-69-72).
"Brooks is a wonderful addition to our program," Roope said. "He's a hard-working, driven young man, and his ball-striking and competitive fire are exactly what we're looking for. He's motivated to compete at the highest level and is focused on continuing to develop his game as he prepares to pursue his professional goals."
