West Chester, Ohio native will have two years of eligibility remaining
TOLEDO, Ohio - Head Women's Golf Coach Ali Green announced on Tuesday that Clare Yeazell (West Chester, Ohio) has transferred to the University of Toledo after playing at Bowling Green State University since the beginning of the 2024-25 academic year. Yeazell will have two years of eligibility remaining beginning next fall.
"I'm beyond excited to welcome Clare to Team Toledo!" Green said. "Clare is not only an incredible golfer but an amazing person. Having the chance to coach her again feels truly special. I was fortunate to work with her during her first two years of high school and seeing her continue her journey at the collegiate level is something I'm deeply proud of. I can't wait to watch her grow and succeed as a Rocket!"Â
Yeazell competed in nine tournaments at Bowling Green as a freshman last year. She posted a 78.3 stroke average and finished third at the Dayton Flyer Invitational.
Yeazell's top outing with the Falcons this fall came at the season-opening A-Ga-Ming Invitational, where she tied for 18th place with a nine-over par 230 (74-74-77).
Yeazell capped off her prep career at Lakota East High School by being named the Greater Miami Conference Player of the Year and Cincinnati Enquirer Women's Golfer of the Year. She also won the Greater Miami Conference Tournament Champion with a record 12-under par and finished seventh in the 2023 OHSAA Tournament.
