Toledo to play seventh game against Big Ten in four seasons
TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo women's basketball team returns to the road to take on Big Ten opponent No. 21 Ohio State on Sunday afternoon. Tipoff from Value City Arena is at 1:00 p.m. on B1G+.
The Rockets (3-4) had a week off after splitting a pair of home games last week. Toledo defeated Morgan State, 79-66, before dropping a 68-52 decision over the weekend to Northern Iowa. Junior guard Kendall Carruthers had an impressive week offensively, averaging 23.0 points on 72.0% shooting (18-of-25) from the floor and added eight rebounds.
The Buckeyes (7-1, 1-0 Big Ten) have won five in a row, and won their Big Ten opener, 79-70, at Northwestern on Sunday. Ohio State also hosts Northern Kentucky this evening.

The Rockets and Buckeyes will engage in their third all-time meeting and first since 1981. Ohio State has won both all-time matchups.

Opening Tips
- Toledo is 1-2 on the road this season. The Rockets scratched out a 69-65 victory at Youngstown State on Nov. 25 in their last time on an opponent's floor.
- Kendall Carruthers has scored in double figures in six of Toledo's first seven games. She had her two highest-scoring outings of the season last week with 27 points (10-of-13 FG) against Morgan State and 19 points (8-of-12 FG) against UNI. Carruthers' 27 points were her most in a Rocket uniform.
