TOLEDO, Ohio – The University of Toledo Athletic Department will hold an introductory press conference for Chris Bailey-Greene as Toledo's Head Women's Rowing Coach at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 8 in the Nancy & James Lapp Creative Studio in Savage Arena.
The public is invited to attend the press conference. There will be an opportunity for attendees to meet Coach Bailey-Greene following the press conference.
Free parking will be available in Lots 3-4-5-6 beginning at 2:30 p.m. Individuals parking in other lots on campus will need to purchase a parking permit via parkutoledo.com.
Bailey-Greene is the program's first women's rowing head coach. Toledo recently added women's rowing as its 17th varsity sports program. The Rockets will begin competition in the fall of 2025. The Mid-American Conference added rowing as an official conference sport beginning in the 2025-26 academic year, with the league champion earning an automatic bid to the NCAA Championships.
Bailey-Greene brings more than 13 years of coaching experience to Toledo. He most recently served as the associate head coach at Washington State University. He also served as an assistant coach at Yale, Oregon State and Gonzaga. Bailey-Greene competed as a student-athlete in varsity crew for four years at Brown University where his team won Ivy League titles in 2007 and 2008.
