Toledo Wraps Up Regular Season with Tri-Meet Against Bowling Green and Buffalo

Rockets will honor their senior class at 10:40 a.m. on Saturday
TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo women's swimming and diving team will compete against Bowling Green and Buffalo in the final regular season meet of the season over two days of competition. The three-team event will begin at Bowling Green's Cooper Pool on Friday, Jan. 31 at 6:00 p.m. and conclude at the UT Student Recreation Center on Saturday, Feb. 1 at 11:00 a.m. Friday's meet will be streamed on YouTube.
The Rockets will honor 10 seniors - Madeline Blakely Lindsey Creek, Sydney Conrad, Kassie Gutierrez, Caitlin Heinze, Nejla Karic, Lucie Morris, Molly Pressler, Faith Sill and Alicia Zarzo-Ramirez prior to the meet on Saturday morning.
LAST TIME OUT
Toledo fell to Eastern Michigan, 175-117, in Ypsilanti, Mich. on Jan. 17. Sophomore Leah Evans won individual titles in both the 100 butterfly (56.63) and the 200 butterfly (2:08.45) and took third in the 200 IM (2:16.57). Freshman Mackenzie Bushey placed first in the 200 breaststroke (2:29.84) while Rosie Richards earned second-place in the 200 freestyle (1:54.83) and the 500 freestyle (5:09.81).
Junior Amanda Dosey led the Rockets in diving events. Dosey placed third on the 1M board, recording a final score of 226.50.
ABOUT BOWLING GREEN
Bowling Green competed in the Butler Invitational on Jan. 26, taking first out of five teams. In dual meets, the Falcons have totaled an overall record of 6-3, most recently falling to Ball State, 157-143.
ABOUT BUFFALO
Buffalo earned three individual titles against Akron on Jan. 18, but dropped the meet, 181-118. The Bulls have an 0-4 dual record, also falling to Eastern Michigan, Marshall and Duquesne.
SERIES HISTORY
Toledo owns the all-time series against Bowling Green, 16-13-1. The Rockets also lead the series with Buffalo, 12-8.
Toledo, Bowling Green and Buffalo participated in the same tri-meet last season on Feb. 2-3, 2024. The Rockets earned a win over Bowling Green, 88-79, before falling to Buffalo, 101-66.
