TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo women's swimming & diving team saw a program-record 19 student-athletes receive 2023-24 Academic All-MAC honors, the league announced today. The 19 selections are the highest for the program, improving from the previous high of 16 honorees by the 2022-23 squad.

Senior Ryli Harden, junior Caitlin Heinze, fifth-year senior Kennedy Lovell, senior Morgan Schuld, and sophomore Janne Slegers led the team by posting a perfect 4.0 GPA.

Lovell has been an Academic All-MAC selection in five of her six years as a Rocket, followed by fifth-year senior Lauren Kilgore with her fourth honor. Junior Madeline Blakely and seniors Sydney Conrad, Madison Giglio, Harden, Nejla Karic, and Schuld are each receiving their third academic nod.

Giglio, Harden, Kilgore, and Lovell were all placed on the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District team earlier this postseason for their academic and athletic accomplishments this year.

The Academic All-MAC honor is for a student-athlete who has excelled in the classroom and competition. To qualify, a student-athlete must have a 3.20 Cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests for that particular sport. Freshmen and first-year transfers are not eligible for consideration.
