TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo women's swimming and diving team hosted its first home meet of the 2024-25 campaign on Friday, falling to Indiana State in a dual meet, 199-101.

A trio of Rockets took all three podium spots in the 3M diving and 1M diving competitions. On the 3M boards, Kassie Gutierrez took first with a score of 235.58, followed by Annie Bartlett in second (226.65) and Amanda Dosey in third (220.73).

All three divers placed on the 1M board, with Bartlett leading the way in first (228.98) while Gutierrez followed in second (226.50) and Dosey rounding out the top-three (213.90).

Sophomore Leah Evans secured a victory in the 100 butterfly with a time of 56.38. Evans has taken first in the 100 butterfly in both dual meets this season. The sophomore took second in the 200 butterfly with a mark of 2:05.83 while helping grab a runner-up finish in the 200 medley relay (1:45.45).

Freshman Mackenzie Bushey recorded a second-place finish in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:07.49. Bushey also helped the 200 medley relay team to a second-place mark with a time of 1:45.45. Junior Janne Slegers took second in the 200 freestyle (1:52.48) and the 100 freestyle (51.87). Slegers was also a member of the 400 freestyle relay that placed second (3:30.30).

"I'm very happy with our first home dual meet of the season," said first-year Head Coach Jacy Dyer.  "We're seeing a lot of improvement every time we race and dive. I've really been enjoying the energy this team is bringing to each meet. It's been fun to see their growth as a team and I think they did a great job showing that on Friday."
