Rockets' 56-game schedule includes 11 games against 2024 NCAA Regional teams
Â
Toledo's 56-game schedule features 11 games against teams that played in the 2024 NCAA Baseball Championship, including its first eight contests. The Rockets will also total 14 games against teams with at least 35 wins in 2024.Â
Â
Among 24 home games beginning in late March, Toledo's schedule features two games at Fifth Third Field, home of the Toledo Mud Hens. Toledo will host Michigan on April 15 and Bowling Green in the Battle of I-75 on May 2 at the downtown venue.
Toledo Baseball will celebrate its 100th season as a varsity program in 2025.
"I'm really excited about our 2025 schedule and also excited to celebrate the 100th season of Toledo baseball," said Head Coach Rob Reinstetle. "Our early-season games against a nationally ranked Oregon squad, High Point and the VCU Tournament will help us prepare for our trek through MAC play. We'll also get a chance to play an always tough East Tennessee State team for our bye week. We will also highlight a full slate of midweek games with matchups against Power Four opponents Cincinnati, Ohio State and two games vs. Michigan.
"It's also an amazing opportunity for our guys to be able to play again at a first-class facility like Fifth Third Field, and we'll get to experience that twice again this year when we play Michigan and Bowling Green. Our eyes are squarely set on playing consistently good baseball throughout the regular season and winning the MAC tournament this year. I can't think of a better way to cap off our 100th season than by winning the conference title."
The Rockets' season begins Feb. 14-16, when they play four games at Oregon. The Ducks are coming off back-to-back NCAA Super Regional appearances and a 40-win season last year. They finished 2024Â ranked No. 12 in the country by both D1Baseball and Baseball America.ÂToledo will then take on Big South Tournament champion High Point Feb. 21-23, before heading to The Diamond in Richmond, Va., home of the Richmond Flying Squirrels, for the VCU Tournament Feb. 28-March 2. There, Toledo will play one game each against Atlantic 10 tournament champion VCU, Richmond and William & Mary. To round out their non-conference series schedule, the Rockets will host 36-game winner East Tennessee State for a three-game weekend set April 25-27.
Â
Toledo will also play 13 midweek games in 2025. UT will travel to Cincinnati (March 5), Michigan (March 11), Wright State (March 18), Purdue-Fort Wayne (March 25), Youngstown State (April 1), Ohio State (April 23) and Oakland (April 30). The Rockets will also host Purdue-Fort Wayne (April 9), Michigan (April 15), Oakland (April 21), Mercyhurst (April 29), Youngstown State (May 6) and Bowling Green (May 13) in midweek action.
Â
The Rockets will begin their Mid-American Conference schedule on March 7-9, when they face Miami in Oxford. The other road conference series are Ball State (March 14-16), Kent State (March 28-30), Eastern Michigan (April 11-13) and Northern Illinois (May 9-11).
Â
Toledo's home MAC schedule includes its home-opener series against Ohio (March 21-23), Akron (April 4-6), Western Michigan (April 17-19), Bowling Green (May 2-4) and Central Michigan (May 15-17).
Â
The 2024 Mid-American Conference Championship will take place May 21-24 at Crushers Stadium in Avon, Ohio.
Â
All home games will be played at Scott Park, except for the April 15 and May 2 games at Fifth Third Field. Dates and times are subject to change.
Â
Toledo won 27 games overall last year and went 16-14 in MAC play, making a return to the conference tournament.
