Redshirt freshman Valeria Lizcano matches season low with even-par 72 in final round

CORAL GABLES, FLA. – Freshman Brooklyn Millard tied for 17^th place and redshirt freshman Valeria Lizcano matched her best round of the fall to lead the Toledo women's golf team on Tuesday at Miami's Hurricane Invitational. Toledo finished in 11^th in the team standings at the par-72, 6,175-yard Biltmore Golf Course in its final fall tournament.

Millard collected three birdies and shot a one-over par 73 to finish the event tied for 17^th place at three-over par 219.

Lizcano registered a pair of eagles on par-five holes as well as a pair of birdies en route to carding an even-par 72 today to finish tied for 34^th place at eight-over par 224.

Senior Yedam Lee tied for 52^nd place at 232, senior Kyleigh Dull finished in 55^th place at 234, freshman Emily Young placed 62^nd at 248.

Tournament host Miami posted a 19-shot victory over second-place FGCU with an impressive 12-under par 852. The Hurricanes' Olivia Gronborg captured medalist honors at eight-under par 208.

Toledo will be back in action next spring when it travels to Clermont, Fla. for the Rust Buster Match Play event on Monday-Tuesday, Feb. 10-11.
