TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo women's swimming and diving team continues its 2024-25 season at the Eagle Invitational hosted by Florida Gulf Coast University on Oct. 18-19. The meet will take place at the FGCU Aquatics Center in Fort Myers, Fla.
The Rockets will be competing against Georgia Southern, North Florida and Tampa in the two-day meet. The event will consist of three sessions beginning on Friday evening, continuing Saturday morning and wrapping up on Saturday evening. Live results will be available through Meet Mobile.
The last time out, Toledo fell to Ohio in its first dual meet and conference meet of the season, 227-73. Senior
Leah Evans won the 100 butterfly with a time of 56.59 and earned runner-up in the 200 butterfly.
Junior
Janne Slegers took second in the 50 free (24.35) and the 100 free (52.48) while freshman
Rosie Richards had a strong debut with second place finishes in the 200 free (1:53.61) and the 500 free (5:09.15). Senior diver
Kassie Gutierrez placed second from the 3M diving board with a score of 235.80.
UP NEXT
Toledo will host its first dual meet of the season when Indiana State comes to the Student Recreation Center Pool on Friday, Nov. 8. The meet is set to begin at 2:00 p.m.
