Rockets capture 400 medley relay
FORT MYERS, Fla. – The Toledo women's swimming and diving team posted four Top Five finishes and won a relay on Day One of the Eagle Invitational hosted by Florida Gulf Coast University on Friday evening.
"I'm so proud of how strong the team started this meet," said head coach Jacy Dyer. "They brought great energy and positivity, and as a result, swam very well. I can't wait to see how they do the rest of the weekend!"
The Rockets' 400 medley relay team, consisting of Gracie Pardue, Mackenzie Bushey, Leah Evans and Janne Slegers took first with a time of 3:44.49.
Freshman Rosie Richards placed third in the 500 freestyle, recording a final time of 4:57.11.
Junior Janne Slegers took fourth in the 50 free with a time of 23.61, while junior Amanda Dosey secured a new personal best on the 3M diving board. Dosey finished fifth overall with a final score of 222.75.
Toledo will conclude the Eagle Invitational on Saturday.
