CLEVELAND, Ohio – Three Toledo volleyball players earned Mid-American Conference honors this week, as announced by the league office on Monday. Outside hitter Taylor Alt was named Offensive Player of the Week, Macy Hatkevich earned Setter of the Week and freshman libero Grace Freiberger was tabbed Defensive Player of the Week.

The honors come after Toledo (12-7, 5-2 MAC) defeated Central Michigan and Eastern Michigan at Savage Arena this weekend.

Alt paced the Toledo offense, tallying 30 kills through both matches. The fifth-year senior recorded 18 kills to go with six digs and three service aces against Central Michigan on Oct. 10 and added 12 kills and eight digs in the sweep over Eastern Michigan on Oct. 11. The Ottawa, Ohio native recorded a .365 clip on the weekend with just seven errors on 63 total attempts. This marks Alt's first conference honor of the season.

Hatkevich was a force behind the Rockets' offense, totaling 93 assists which averaged out to 13.23 per set. The sophomore had 53 assists against Central Michigan, setting a new career best. The Granger, Ind. native added two kills and two blocks to go along with 20 digs on the weekend. This is Hatkevich's second Setter of the Week award of the season, with the first coming on Sept. 16.

Freiberger led the Toledo defense through both matches, recording 42 digs which was good for 6.0 per set. The freshman libero had 27 in the win over Central Michigan and added 15 in the sweep against Eastern Michigan to go with two assists and two service aces. This marks Freiberger's first-ever conference honor of her career.

Toledo hits the road for a pair of conference matches. The Rockets will take on Akron on Thursday, Oct. 17 and will meet Buffalo on Friday, Oct. 18. Both matches are set for 6:00 p.m. with coverage on ESPN+.
