TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo women's swimming & diving team is back in the pool this week for its first Mid-American Conference road dual meet of 2024, traveling to Ball State on Saturday, Jan. 20. The Rockets and Cardinals will take off at 2:00 p.m. in the Lewellen Aquatic Center.
Last Time in the Pool
Toledo turned in an outstanding performance to edge out Indianapolis 170-128 last week, claiming eight individual events and both relay races, setting one pool record, and adding four names to the UT records list. Highlighting the Rockets' performance was Lauren Kilgore who won the 200 IM with a pool record time of 2:02.62, and also touched first in the 100 freestyle.
Annie Bartlett won the first event of her career, scoring a 276.38 on the one-meter board, which ranks sixth all-time. Kennedy Lovell was victorious in the 200 and 50 freestyle, Leah Evans once again won the 200 butterfly, and Madison Giglio won on the three-meter. UT's 200 freestyle relay time was 0.1 second off the pool record of 1:34.25 set by Akron in 2017.
Kilgore's efforts earned her MAC Co-Swimmer of the Week and MAC Female Scholar-Athlete of the Week, both honors being the first of her career and first for the Rockets this season.
