TOLEDO, Ohio – Fifth-year senior Lauren Kilgore turned in an outstanding performance in the pool on Saturday, winning the 100 freestyle and 200 IM in record time at the UT Student Recreation Center Pool, leading the Toledo women's swimming & diving team to a 170-128 victory over Indianapolis.

Toledo won a total of 10 events to cruise to victory. Collectively, the Rockets recorded 30 personal-best or season-best times in their first meet back since the Magnus Cup Invitational on Nov. 16-18.

"I am so proud of the way our team competed this afternoon, being the first meet back since November," head coach Brie Globig said. "It's not easy to set a record, let alone a pool record, and Lauren Kilgore did that twice today, so we are all super proud of her."

Toledo won eight individual events and both relays against the Greyhounds, led individually by Kilgore and Kennedy Lovell, who each had three first-place finishes.

Kilgore started her afternoon with a PR 50.44 touch-time in the 100 freestyle and now ranks eighth overall in Toledo's all-time record book. She was also clocked in at 2:02.62 to win the 200 IM, to replace UM's Margrett Kelly's pool time (2:02.88) set back in 2003. Kilgore also was part of UT's first-place 200 medley relay team and took second in the 100 breaststroke with her best time of the season (1:03.61).

Lovell, a fifth-year senior,  touched the wall with her best times so far this season to win the 200 freestyle and 50 freestyle events at 1:50.04 and 23.14, respectively. Lovell also swam second on UT's 200 freestyle first-place team.

Junior Faith Sill was speedy in the 100 backstroke, touching first with a PR time of 55.84 that also ranks ninth in program history. She swam the leadoff in UT's first-place 200 medley relay team.

Freshman Leah Evans beat her previous PR time by nearly five seconds to win the 200 butterfly at 1:03.17. Evans was an integral part of both of the Rockets' relay wins, participating in the 200 medley and anchor in the 200 freestyle. She also set a PR time of 54.54. to take silver in the 100 butterfly.

On the diving boards, sophomore Annie Bartlett won her first individual event, scoring a PR of 276.38 on the 1M. Senior Madison Giglio won the 3M with a 299.93. Both Bartlette's and Giglio's scored rank No.6 all-time for UT. 

The meet was bookended by a pair of victories from the Rockets' relay teams in the 200 medley (1:42.65) and 200 freestyle (1:34.26).

Toledo will next get in the pool with Mid-American Conference opponent Ball State on Saturday, Jan. 20 in Muncie, Ind.
