
Toledo to Open 2023-24 Season at MSU's Mary Fossum Invitational

Rockets will play 36 holes on Sunday and 18 holes on Monday
TOLEDO, Ohio - The Toledo women's golf team is heading north this weekend to open its 2023-24 season at the 37th-annual Mary Fossum Invitational hosted by Michigan State University. The Rockets will be competing at the par-72, 6,370-yard Forest Akers West Golf Course in East Lansing, Mich. on Sunday-Monday, Sept. 17-18.
An 8:30 a.m. shotgun start will be held on Sunday and Monday. Thirty-six holes will be played on the first day, and 18 holes on the second day. Live scoring will be available at Golfstat.com.
Tournament Field
Toledo is a part of a 15-team field that includes six Big Ten schools (Maryland, Michigan, Michigan State, Nebraska, Ohio State, Purdue) as well as Power Five schools North Carolina, Notre Dame, Tennessee and Virginia Tech. Fellow MAC members Kent State and Northern Illinois are also participating in the event as well as Grand Valley State and Oakland.
This Week's Lineup
The Rockets' lineup in the Mary Fossum Invitational will include senior Angel Hii at No. 1, junior Kylie Dull at No. 2, junior Yedam Lee at No. 3, senior Macy Hanus at No. 4, and redshirt senior Amelia Lee at No. 5.
Yedam Lee paced the Rockets last year with a career-best 75.8 stroke average. Amelia Lee ranked second with a 76.3 scoring mark and was followed by Hanus (76.7) and Hii (77.8).
Dull is competing in her first tournament as a Rocket after posting a 76.6 scoring mark last year for Eastern Michigan.

Toledo will return to Inverness Club to host the Glass City Invitational on Monday-Tuesday, Sept. 25-26. The Rockets will be hosting a 10-team field that includes Florida, Indiana, Kent State, Miami (Fla.), Michigan, Michigan State, Notre Dame, South Florida, and Virginia.
