Jacquez Stuart was named to the Paul Hornung Award watch list on Thursday.
Now in its 14th season, the Paul Hornung Award is given annually to the most versatile player in major college football by the Louisville Sports Commission in the memory of the late football legend and Louisville native Paul Hornung. The winner and his family will be honored at the annual Paul Hornung Award dinner at a date to be announced in 2024.
Stuart led the Rockets with 770 yards rushing in 2022, and was fourth in Mid-American Conference with 5.7 yards per attempt. He was strong down the stretch, rushing for 93 yards and a touchdown in a 17-7 victory vs. Ohio in the MAC Championship Game and 111 yards on a career-high 23 attempts in a 21-19 triumph over Liberty in Boca Raton Bowl. He also returned 14 kickoffs for an average of 18.5 yards per attempt.
