TOLEDO, Ohio – Toledo Head Women's Tennis Coach
Tracy Mauntler announced on Monday that Audrey Moutama is transferring to the Rockets' program for the 2023-24 season.
"Audrey has a whole year of college tennis under her belt," Mauntler said. "She brings great experience from the top of the lineup for doubles, and she led Nevada in singles wins. Our team culture is very important to me, and she will fit right in with the excellence we have established here."
Originally from Petit-Bourg, Guadeloupe, Moutama completed her freshman season with an 18-6 singles record, mostly from the No. 6 court, and was 11-11 in doubles play. Moutama led the Wolf Pack in conference play with a 6-1 record. Her notable singles victories include wins over opponents from No. 60 Colorado State, No. 73 Wyoming, New Mexico State, San Jose State, Utah State, and a match-clinching point vs. San Diego State.
Prior to her start at Nevada, Moutama graduated from Lycée Claude Bernard in Paris, France in 2022. She was a four-time ITF Junior Grade 5 Doubles winner in Saint-Lucia, Antigua; Barbuda, Barbados and Senegal.
Moutama plans to continue working towards a degree in marketing at UToledo.
Why Audrey chose Toledo? "I chose to attend the University of Toledo because the campus is beautiful and I talked to some of the girls on the team, and they convinced me. The team has a great atmosphere."
