TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo women's track & field team will continue its outdoor season this week, competing in two meets. The distance runners will begin the week in Azusa, Calif. at the Bryan Clay Invitational on Thursday-Saturday, April 13-15. The meet will be streamed on FloTrack. Other members of the team will head to the Tiffin Track Carnival, hosted by Tiffin and Heidelberg, on Friday-Saturday, April 14-15.
The Rockets pieced together a successful showing at the Tennessee Invite last weekend, collecting five personal-bests. Sophomore Sydney Caddell opened the weekend with a 5.27m mark in the long jump. Sophomore Mayson Bates clocked a 14.38 time in the 100H prelims to qualify for the finals. She finished sixth in the finals with a time of 14.58. Freshmen Laryah Worthy and Khamani Jones recorded personal-best times of 1:00.75 and 1:02.59 in the 400m, respectively. Freshman Paris Gosha added a time of 12.66 in the 100m.
Four members of the men's cross country team also competed in Knoxville, with senior Cooper Losey (3:57.88) and sophomore Xavier Gallo (15:54.88) recording PRs in the 1500m and 5000m, respectively.
