Surtz records PR in her first outdoor meet

RALEIGH, N.C. – The Toledo women's track & field team completed its third and final day of competition at the Raleigh Relays on Saturday, with junior Krystal Clark and freshman Lianna Surtz representing the Rockets in the 800m event.

Clark clocked a time of 2:11.47 in the race, coming within three seconds of her personal-best time at that distance. She placed 36^th overall in the event. Surtz, competing in her first collegiate outdoor meet, finished in 82^nd place with a time of 2:14.84, a personal best.

The Rockets will travel to Cincinnati next weekend for the Oliver Nikoloff invite. The two-day meet will begin on Friday, March 31, with action to continue on Saturday, April 1 at Gettler Stadium.
