Toledo Heading to North Carolina for Seahawk Intercollegiate

Rockets competing against field that includes No. 27 TCU and No. 44 Clemson
TOLEDO, Ohio - The Toledo men's golf team heads to Wilmington, N.C. this weekend to compete in UNC-Wilmington's 12th-annual Seahawk Intercollegiate on Sunday-Monday, March 26-27. The tournament will be held at the par-72, 7,031-yard CC of Landfall Dye Course. The 54-hole tourney will consist of a shotgun start of 8:30 a.m. each day with 36 holes being played on Sunday followed by the final round on Monday.
Junior Barend Botha leads the Rockets with a 70.6 stroke average and is followed by senior Palmer Yenrick (73.0), senior NJ Botha (73.4) and junior Jamie Tofte Nielsen (73.5). Freshman Bence Kotel will also be competing in the Rockets' lineup in tournament.
The Field
The Rockets will be competing against a 17-team field that includes No. 27 TCU and No. 44 Clemson. Also competing in the field along with the Rockets are Appalachian State, Campbell, Charleston Southern, Coastal Carolina, Davidson, Francis Marion, Georgetown, James Madison, Maryland, Nebraska, Stetson, UNC-Wilmington, USC-Upstate and Wright State.

Junior Barend Botha registered his best career finish ever with a runner-up showing in The Johnnie-O at Sea Island Invitational. Botha matched his career-best under-par score by finishing with a seven-under par 203 to help Toledo tie for eighth in a 13-team field that had every school ranked in Golfstat's Top 100.

Toledo will return to action on Friday-Saturday, April 7-8 when it travels to Raleigh, N.C. for North Carolina State's Stitch Intercollegiate.
