Junior is at five-under par after shooting rounds of 67 and 68

ST. SIMONS ISLAND, Ga. – Junior Barend Botha fired back-to-back under-par rounds on Monday and sits in second place at five-under 135 (68-67) at The Johnnie-O at Sea Island Invitational. Botha's play has helped the Toledo men's golf team to a ninth-place standing in a field that includes 13 teams that are ranked in the Top 100 of Golfstat's rankings.

Botha is tied for second in the field with nine birdies and also was one of four individuals to register an eagle.

Junior Jamie Tofte Nielsen also had a solid day for the Rockets and is tied for 19^th place at two-over par 142 (72-70).

Senior Palmer Yenrick is tied for 51^st place at eight-over par 148 (76-72) and is followed by senior NJ Botha (T-73rd/ 80-73=153) and freshman Mason Deal (T-78^th/78-80=158).

Freshman Bence Kotel is competing as an individual and tied for 51^st place at eight-over 148 (74-74).

The final round of the tournament will begin with an 8:45 a.m. shotgun start on Tuesday.
