Toledo Heads to MAC Championships

Rockets will swim at Miami University’s Nixon Aquatic Center this Wednesday-Saturday
TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo women's swimming & diving team will head to Oxford, Ohio for the 2023 Mid-American Conference Women's Swimming & Diving Championships this Wednesday-Saturday, Feb. 22-25.
Last Time Out
Senior Lauren Kilgore, sophomore Molly Pressler, redshirt freshman Lucie Morris, and junior Sydney Conrad competed at Miami's Last Chance Meet two weeks ago to improve their time for this weekend's competition. Morris recorded a personal-best time of 24.53 in the 500 freestyle, while Kilgore won the 100 breaststroke with a season-best 1:03.66 touch time.
Notable Rockets
Junior Madison Giglio has hit NCAA Zone qualifying marks this season in the one-meter (275.10 *PR) and three-meter (308.70) both vs. Ohio on Jan. 20. Giglio was named MAC Diver of the Week on Jan. 25 after winning both boards at the Toledo tri-meet.
Senior Jovana Duric has won nine of the Rockets' 33 individual event wins, coming in the 1000 and 500 freestyle events. Kilgore has seven individual event wins this season, while freshman Janne Slevers has won five events in her first year as a Rockets, and senior Kennedly Lovell has four wins under her belt.
Toledo vs. MAC Championships
Last season, the Rockets finished eighth at the MAC Championships and broke three program records. Lovell, Kilgore, Conrad and senior Ashley LeFever broke the 200 medley relay time at 1:32.20 (sixth); Lovell, Kilgore, Conrad and LeFever in the 400 medley relay at 3:21.18 (fourth), and Lovell in the leadoff 100 freestyle with a time of 50.19. The two other podium finishes were by Joelle Gallais who took fifth in the three-meter dive, and Duric who finished third in the 1650 freestyle.
Toledo's highest finish at the conference meet was first place in 2010 and 2012.
Admission and Attendance Guidelines
Admission for the MAC Championship meet is $45 for adults and $12 for youth (12 and under) for an all-session pass. Tickets can be purchased at the door or online here. Doors open to the general public beginning at 9:30 a.m. for the prelims on Thursday-Saturday and 5:00 p.m. for the championship heats on Wednesday-Friday, and 3:30 p.m. for Saturday's championships events.
