Rockets host Falcons in first home meet of season at UT Student Recreation Center Pool
TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo women's swimming & diving team will host this year's Battle of I-75 against Bowling Green on Saturday, Nov. 4 in its first home meet this season. The Rockets and Falcons will get on the starting blocks at 11:00 a.m. at the UT Student Recreation Center Pool with the meet being streamed live on ESPN+ and shown locally on BCSN.
Saturday's meet is the first of three meetings between the Rockets and Falcons before the Mid-American Conference Championships on Feb. 28-March 2. Toledo and Buffalo will be at Bowling Green on Friday, Feb. 2, and all three teams will be at the UT Student Recreation Center Pool on Saturday, Feb. 3.
Last Time in the Pool
Toledo competed in its first Mid-American Conference dual meet at Akron last Friday and lost 197-86 in the long course pool. Freshman Leah Evans won the 200 butterfly (2:19.73) for the second-straight met, while senior Madison Giglio took first in the three-meter dive (261.08) for the first time this season. Sophomore Annie Bartlett earned a three-meter PR, sophomore Amanda Dosey recorded a one-meter PR, and freshman Anna Gasser made her collegiate diving debut.
About Bowling Green
Bowling Green lost by a 195-105 margin to Eastern Michigan last week in its conference-opening meet. Natalia Mayorga won the one-and-three-meter boards, and the Falcons also won the 200 medley relay and 100 backstroke events.
