TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo women's volleyball team will host Ball State on Wednesday evening in the final match of the regular season. Wednesday's match will begin at 6:00 p.m. on ESPN+.

The Rockets have clinched a berth in this weekend's MAC Tournament, but their seed and opponent will be decided following the action on Wednesday.

2023 MAC Tournament
For the third straight season, Toledo is headed to the MAC Tournament. This year's tournament will be hosted by regular-season champion Western Michigan from Nov. 18-20. The Broncos are the only team to have solidified their tournament seeding, with the other five teams still jockeying for position.

The Rockets enter Wednesday's match tied with Bowling Green for fifth place. Toledo will be the No. 5 seed with a win or a Bowling Green loss.

Game 1: No. 4 seed vs. No. 5 seed – 4:00 p.m.
Game 2: No. 3 seed vs. No. 6 seed – 6:30 p.m.

Sunday, Nov. 19
Game 3: No. 1 Western Michigan vs. Game 1 Winner – 4:00 p.m.
Game 4: No. 2 seed vs. Game 2 Winner – 6:30 p.m.

Monday, Nov. 20
Game 5: Game 3 Winner vs. Game 4 Winner – 6:30 p.m.

Last Time Out
Toledo hosted Western Michigan this past weekend and dropped both matches to the first-place Broncos.

The Rockets won the first set on Friday, 25-21, to take an early lead against the Broncos but they were unable to claim another set. WMU won the second stanza, 25-15, and won the third by a score of 25-19. Western Michigan led wire-to-wire in the fourth set and won, 25-20, to take the match.

Following the three-set loss on Saturday, Toledo honored nine seniors on Senior Day: Taylor Alt, Jada Bouyer, Claire Eiden, Abby Erickson, Ryann Jaqua, Mary-Kate Lopez, Payton Morman, Rachel Pierce, and student manager Rachel Schneider.

Ball State enters play this weekend with a 16-12 record and a 13-4 ledger in MAC play. The Cardinals won the previous meeting vs. Toledo this year, a 3-0 victory in Muncie on Oct. 17. Aniya Kennedy leads Ball State offensively, averaging 4.10 kills/set, and Megan Wielonski ranks near the top of the MAC in assists (10.56/set).
