Joshuah Taylor led a group of eight Rockets to a third-place team finish at the Falcon Invitational, the final race of the regular season, on Friday evening at the Mel Brodt Cross Country Course in Bowling Green, Ohio. Taylor ran a personal record time of 25:02.2 to finish sixth.
Taylor was followed by senior
Max Matolin (25:45.0), senior
Cooper Losey (25:58.3), senior
Ben Towler, (26:19.0), and junior
Gavin Lammers (26:38.6) to earn points for the Rockets.
Freshman
Aiden Lengel (27:14.2), senior
Xavier Gallo (27:37.2), and sophomore
Avery Casillas (28:28.4) also ran for the Midnight Blue and Gold.
Buffalo won the men's 8K with 49 team points. UT collected 131 team points and finished 11 points better than meet host and sixth-place finisher Bowling Green.
Toledo will be back in Bowling Green for the 2023 Mid-American Conference Championships on Saturday, Oct. 28.
