Five Toledo sprinters and jumpers brought home new personal bests
TIFFIN, Ohio – Freshman Paris Gosha took home the 60m crown and added a second-place finish in the 200m to lead the Toledo women's track & field team at the Tiffin Invitational on Saturday.

Gosha completed the 60m race in 7.84, coming within .04 of her personal best time to win the event. She added a time of 26.78 in her runner-up performance in the 200m.

Freshman Laryah Worthy and junior Audrey Witham joined Gosha in winning events for the Rockets, in the 400m and 800m, respectively. Worthy shaved .20 off her time from last week's Findlay Alumni Classic, to set a new PR of 1:01.67 to win the 400m. Witham eclipsed her personal best 800m time by nearly two seconds, completing the race in 2:19.52.

Joining Gosha in the 60m was junior Shianne Johnson, who took second place in the event with a new PR of 8.01 in her first 60m attempt of the season.

Sophomore Sydney Caddell competed in the 200m for the first time this season, and recorded a personal-best time of 27.71 to place ninth. Caddell also participated in the long jump, and finished fourth with a mark of 4.97m.

Freshman Khamani Jones joined Worthy in earning a top-three finish in the 400m, her first distance race as a Rocket. Jones crossed the finish line in thrird place with a time of 1:03.84.Â

Senior Jordyn Boyer shattered her personal-best time in the mile by over seven seconds, crossing the finish line at 5:17.75 to place second.

Freshman Makenna Englund took sixth place in the high jump and tied her best mark of 1.47m.
Toledo will head to Notre Dame next Saturday, Feb. 4, for the wo-day Meyo Invitational.
