TEMPE, Ariz. – The Toledo women's soccer team closed out its non-conference schedule with a 5-0 loss to Arizona State Sunday evening. The Rockets are now 1-4-2 heading into conference play this week.
Arizona State struck early with a goal at the 10th-minute of play and added one more just before halftime to take a 2-0 lead into the locker room. The Sun Devils added three more goals and the Rockets could not overcome the deficit.

Toledo will open Mid-American Conference play at I-75 rival Bowling Green on Thursday, Sept. 22 at 7:00 p.m.

- 20'| Karson Hill stopped a straight-on shot from ASU's lead scorer, Nicole Douglas, to deprive ASU of doubling its lead.
- 33'| GOAL Olivia Nguyen sent a shot from the top of the box just out of reach from Hill to give ASU a two-goal lead.
