Three Rockets Finish Second at Michigan's Len Paddock Open

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – Sophomores Promise Cross and Lou Trois as well as freshman Amara Okpalaoka each posted second-place finishes to lead the Toledo women's track & field team on Saturday at Michigan's Len Paddock Open.
Cross finished second in the high jump with a leap of 1.57m, Trois was the runner-up in the 1,500-meter race with a time of 4:22.25 and Okpalaoka was second in the triple jump with a mark of 11.27m.
Sophomore Shianne Johnson placed third in the 400m race with a time of 1:01.58 and joined junior Ava Moran, freshman Mayson Bates and sophomore Meyah Haywood to finish third in the 4x100m relay with a time of 48.28.
Freshman Margrett Watt and senior Semra Karaslan finished third and fourth in the 800m race with times of 2:10.51 and 2:11.17, respectively.
The Rockets will be back in action next weekend at the Mid-American Conference Championships on Thursday-Saturday, May 12-14.
