Toledo Places Sixth at 2022 MAC Championships

HOLLAND, Ohio – Toledo finished in sixth place with a team score of 949 in Sunday's final round of the 2022 Mid-American Conference Women's Golf Championships. The tournament was hosted by the Rockets at the par-72, 6,158-yard Stone Oak Country Club.

Kent State captured the tournament title for the 23rd straight year with a team score of 25-over par 889. The Golden Flashes finished 18 strokes in front of Northern Illinois and are the only school to win the tournament in its history. The Huskies' Jasmine Ly earned medalist honors and was the only individual to finish under par at one-under 215 (69-73-73).

"Our results this weekend weren't what we were hoping for, but I saw a lot of improvement this season from our entire team," Head Coach Jenny Coluccio said. "We will continue to work hard to improve and learn from our mistakes when we return to competition in the fall. I also want to say a big thank you to the Stone Oak staff and community, as well as all the volunteers who helped us host this tournament."
Freshman Yedam Lee led Toledo individually by tying for 14th place at 233 (79-77-77). She tied sophomore Macy Hanus for the team's best round today with a five-over par 77. Hanus tied for 23rd place at 236 (80-79-77), two strokes in front of sophomore Angel Hii who tied for 18th place at 234 (75-79-80).

The remainder of the Rocket lineup consisted of sophomore Kaitlyn Natividad (T-36th/82-81-84=247) and junior Amelia Lee (T-40th/81-84-84=249).
