TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo women's track and field distance runners will head to Charlottesville, Va. to compete in the Virginia Challenge, hosted by the University of Virginia. The meet will be held Friday-Saturday, April 22-23 at Lannigan Field.
Friday's action will begin with field events at 11:00 a.m. and follow with running events at 3:00 p.m. Saturday's schedule will begin with the final events of the decathlon at 10:00 a.m., with running and field events both beginning at 1:00 p.m.

Toledo last competed in the Tiffin Invite in Tiffin, Ohio. Senior
Hannah Sponaugle, sophomore
Promise Cross and the Toledo "A" Relay team (4x100) won their respective events. Sponaugle won the 10,000m (37:08.84) and Cross secured first in the Heptathlon (4826 points), the fourth-best score in program history. Eleven other Rockets finished in the top-10 in their respective events, including six runners posting personal-best times.
