TOLEDO, Ohio – Mid-American Conference Play rolls on for the Toledo softball team this week as it heads to Mount Pleasant, Mich. for a three-game series with Central Michigan. The Rockets will open the series at Margo Jonker Stadium with one game on Tuesday, April 19 followed by a doubleheader on Wednesday, April 20.

Last Time Out
- Toledo exploded offensively and freshman Sophia Knight threw her first collegiate shutout in the Rockets' 11-0 run-rule victory over Ball State on Friday afternoon at Scott Park.
- Freshman Maris Barbato hit her first collegiate home run in Friday's victory.
- The win snapped the Rocket's 13-game losing streak, and was head coach Joe Abraham's 291st career win as a head coach. He currently has 80 wins under his belt for Toledo
- UT dropped both ends of a doubleheader to Ball State on Saturday afternoon at Scott Park. The Cardinals posted a 10-2 victory in the opener before downing the Rockets by a 9-5 margin in the nightcap.
- Junior Riley Morh brought the Rockets within 8-5 with a two-run homer, her first of the season, to right center in the third during game two on Saturday and an RBI double to left in the fifth.
Milestones to Watch
- Senior Dayna Denner's first-inning homer in Game One vs. Akron (April 10) tied the program record for career home runs with Kaitlyn Bergman (2015-19) at 24.
About Central Michigan
Central Michigan (17-19, 8-6 MAC) took one of three games in the series vs. Ohio over the weekend. The Chippewas were downed 7-2 in the opener on Friday, won the second game 5-2 and dropped the finale, 8-6, on Saturday. Sophomore Kelsey Alexander hit two of CMU's three home runs in the game one victory on Saturday. Alexander has had three home runs in the last four games and has seven on the season. Sophomore Michaleigh Vallimont leads the team with a .346 batting average and 13 runs. Sophomore Grace Lehto has a 3.24 ERA in 106.0 innings pitched with 100 strikeouts.
On Deck
The Rockets will have two days off before they host Kent State for a three-game series at Scott Park on April 23 and 24. UT will play a doubleheader starting at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday and recognize its senior class prior to the first pitch of game one. The Rockets and Golden Flashes will play one game on Sunday starting at noon.
