Rockets Place Sixth At Nevel Meade Collegiate

PROSPECT, Ky. - Junior Amelia Lee's two-over par 74 led Toledo to a sixth-place finish at the Nevel Meade Collegiate on Tuesday. The tournament was held at the par-72, 5,953-yard Nevel Meade Golf Course in Prospect, Ky.

Lee's round was the Rockets' best of the day, but sophomore Angel Hii edged her out in the individual standings. Hii shot a 231 (76-73-82) and tied for 11th place, two spots in front of Lee (84-75-74=233)

Freshman Yedam Lee (T-25th/76-80-80=236) was Toledo's third best finisher in the event.

Sophomore Cheryl Hong carded the second-best round of the day for the Rockets, shooting a five-over par 77. She finished at 241 on the tournament and placed in a tie for 46th place.

Sophomore Kaitlyn Natividad (T-74th/81-85-86=252) rounded out the Toledo lineup. Sophomore Macy Hanus (T-48th/84-78-80=242) and junior Claudia Sampson (T-74th/82-82-88=252) competed as individuals.

Tournament host Cleveland State finished atop the leaderboard at 54-over par 918. Bellarmine's Josephine Bonin finished as the top golfer of the tournament at five-over par 221.

The Rockets will hit the links again in Grasonville, Md. for the Intercollegiate at Prospect Bay on Saturday-Sunday, April 2-3.
