Toledo Closes Out Spring Break Shootout in Ninth Place

DADE CITY, Fla. - Toledo shot its best round of the tournament on Tuesday to finish in ninth place at Western Kentucky's Spring Break Shootout. The tournament was held at the par-71, 6,056-yard Lake Jovita Golf and Country Club in Dade City, Fla.

The Rockets carded a 13-over par 297 today to finish at 44-over par 896, nine strokes out of fifth place. Florida Gulf Coast won the tournament title at 14-over par.

Junior Amelia Lee led Toledo by tying for 15th place at seven-over par (74-73-73). Sophomore Angel Hii was right behind Lee, shooting nine-over (72-74-76) to tie for 22nd place.

Sophomore Cheryl Hong posted her best round of the tournament today, carding a three-over par 74 to finish in 49th at 16-over par. Sophomore Kaitlyn Natividad also enjoyed a solid outing, tying for 41st place with a career-best 54-hole total of 14-over par 227 (77-74-76).

Rounding out the Rockets' lineup was freshman Yedam Lee, who tied for 58th place at 19-over par 232 (79-79-74).

Sophomore Macy Hanus (76-77-78=231/T-55th) and junior Kathryn Roth (81-80-77=238/T-72nd) competed as individuals in the tournament.
