LAKEWOOD RANCH, Fla. – Sophomore Angel Hii led Toledo on Monday with a pair of match-play victories at the Mid-American Match Play Challenge. The tournament is being hosted by Bowling Green at the Royal Lakes Golf Course.
The Rockets opened the day with a 3-2 setback to Western Michigan. Hii posted a 1-up victory in the No. 4 slot, while freshman Yedam Lee emerged victorious with a 5 & 3 triumph at No. 2.
Toledo dropped a 4-1 decision to Western Illinois in the afternoon. Hii posted the Rockets' lone victory over the Leathernecks with a 2 & 1 win.
Toledo is back in action tomorrow at 9:00 a.m. vs. Ball State.
