Toledo heads to Eastern Michigan, Hosts Miami this Week

TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo women's soccer team will begin this week of competition on the road at Eastern Michigan Thursday afternoon before coming back home for a Sunday afternoon match vs. Miami (Ohio). Sunday's match will be streamed on ESPN3.

About Toledo
Toledo moved to 1-7-5, 0-3-3 MAC after falling to Ball State 6-2 and drawing 1-1 with Central Michigan last week. Senior Morgan Otteson scored all three of the Rockets goals and has a team-high nine this season. On Sunday at CMU, Otteson put up a season-high 11 shots, the most by a Rocket this season, and tied Ali Leak for second-most shots in a single match in program history. Sunday's draw is also the new program record for most ties in a single season.
Otteson leads the conference with 45 shots this season, 25 on goal, and is third in goals.
About Eastern Michigan
Eastern Michigan (2-8-3, 1-4-1 MAC) dropped both of its contests last week, a 4-2 decision to Kent State and a 3-0 shutout to Buffalo. Freshman Hannah Thompson scored both goals for the Eagles vs. the Golden Flashes on Oct. 6.Â
About Miami
Miami (6-3-4, 2-1-3 MAC) is unbeaten in its last three matches, including a 2-1 win over Akron on Oct.2 and back-to-back draws last week with Buffalo and Kent State. Senior goalkeeper Izzy Vaccari earned her career-high sixth shutout of the season and now has 16 in her career, the third-best in program history. Miami will host Western Michigan Thursday afternoon before heading up to Toledo for Sunday's match.
