ANN ARBOR, Mich. – The University of Toledo women's track and field team opened the new year at Michigan's Wolverine Invite Saturday afternoon, competing in the mile and 3000m runs.
Highlighting the Rockets was the 3-5-7 finish in the 3000m run, led by senior
Claire Steigerwald, who finished third with a time of 10:16.40. Senior
Rebecca Snyder finished fifth for the Rockets and set a personal record (10:19.76), followed by sophomore
Amanda Tremains, who took seventh (10:57.11).
Junior
Mallory Ferguson took eighth in the mile run with a time of 5:35.86.
Toledo will head back to Michigan next week for the Bob Eubanks Open hosted by Grand Valley State in Allendale, Mich. on Saturday, Jan. 15.
