Olivia Gang (4:58.42) and
Madi Eyman (5:00.21) also ran for personal bests in the mile.
"I am very happy with where we sit after tonight as a team," said Head Coach
Andrea Grove-McDonough. "Many of the women who raced tonight had not opened their season yet, and we have taken a decidedly low key approach to this indoor. Joy has only been doing workouts for two weeks now, and we have had a lot of stops and starts to training with illness and other things. As a result we knew the focus would not be on any early season races and we would focus mainly on using indoor as preparation for a big outdoor season. The results today were a very pleasant surprise and frankly we just had a lot of fun. I'm looking forward to what's to come from this young group."
