Toledo's Schedule for 2021-22 Season Complete

TOLEDO, Ohio - The University of Toledo women's basketball program's 2021-22 schedule is finalized with the release of its 20-game Mid-American Conference slate by the league office on Friday. Game times have been determined for non-conference games with conference tip-off times yet to be announced.

Toledo will tip off its conference schedule at Kent State on Wednesday, Dec. 29 and entertain Akron in its MAC home opener on Saturday, Jan. 1. The Rockets will face each conference school twice with the exception of the Golden Flashes and Buffalo. UT will host the Bulls in Savage Arena on Jan. 22.
Toledo will play three of its first five league contests at home and wrap up its conference campaign with home dates vs. Northern Illinois (March 2) and Western Michigan (March 5). The Rockets will host arch-rival Bowling Green on Feb. 12 after visiting the Falcons in the Stroh Center on Jan. 29.
Toledo's remaining MAC home dates are vs. Eastern Michigan (Jan. 5), Central Michigan (Jan. 12), Ohio (Jan. 26), Miami (Feb. 2) and Ball State (Feb. 19).

The MAC Tournament will be held on March 9-12 at Cleveland's Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse.

The Rockets return the bulk of their offensive production from last season, including All-MAC honoree Quinesha Lockett (19.6 ppg, 47.5 FG%), Sophia Wiard (13.7 ppg, 4.3 apg), and Sammi Mikonowicz (9.2 ppg, 6.0 rpg). Toledo also welcomes in a talented class of newcomers, featuring freshmen Ella Doherty (Powmill, Scotland) and Jessica Cook (Clay, N.Y.) as well as transfers Nan Garcia (Penn State), Jayda Jansen (Maryville (Mo.) University), and Hannah Noveroske (Indiana).
Toledo opens its 2021-22 season at Oakland on Nov. 9 before hosting reigning Horizon League champion Wright State on Nov. 13 at Savage Arena. Highlighting the Rockets' non-conference schedule will be a trip to Riviera Maya, Mexico for an appearance at the Cancun Challenge. Hosted by the Hard Rock Hotel in Riviera Maya, the annual tournament will play host to the Midnight Blue and Gold and nine other teams. Toledo will face reigning Big Sky Conference champion Idaho State on Nov. 25 and Seton Hall on Nov. 26.Â
