BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Toledo women's golf team sits in fifth place following the opening day of Bowling Green's 10th-annual Dolores Black Falcon Invitational. The Rockets carded a team score of 22-over par 310 at the par-72, 5,829-yard Stone Ridge Golf Club's course.
Freshmen Macy Hanus and Cheryl Hong are leading the way for UT and tied for 15th place at four-over par 76. Hanus was at one-over par through 14 holes before bogeying three of her final four holes.
Sophomore Amelia Lee is two strokes back and tied for 27th place with a six-over par 78.
Rounding out the Rocket lineup are freshmen Angel Hii (T-42nd/80) and Kait Natividad (T-73rd/85).
Sophomores Claudia Sampson (T-56th/82) and Kathryn Roth (T-82nd/89) are competing as individuals.
Bowling Green leads the 14-team field with a six-over par 294, with the Falcons' Nichole Cox topping all individuals at one-under par 71.
The final round of play will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Sunday.
