GREENVILLE, S.C. – Toledo wrapped up play in this weekend's 51st Annual Furman Intercollegiate by tying for seventh place with a team total of 25-over par 877. The three-day event was held at the par-71, 6,994-yard Furman University Golf Course.

"It was a productive week for us but there are mistakes that still need to be cleaned up to get where we want to go," Head Coach Jeff Roope said. "We have next weekend off, and I think that's a good time for us to take inventory of how to make some improvements down the stretch and take the next step."
 
Freshman Barend Botha (74-71-73) paced Toledo in the tournament by tying for 22^nd place at five-over par 218. Sophomore NJ Botha (74-72-73) and junior David Amm (72-73-74) tied for 25^th place at six-over par 219. Rounding out the Rocket lineup were freshman Jamie Tofte Nielsen (76-75-75=226) and junior Muhammed Afif Mohd Fathi (75-71-DQ).
 
Senior Nate Thomson competed as an individual and posted a team-best three-over par 216 (74-72-70) to tie for 14^th place.
 
Furman captured the tournament title at one-over par 853. The Paladins' Keller Harper earned medalist honors at six-under par 207.

Toledo returns to action when it travels to West Lafayette, Ind. for Purdue's Boilermaker Invitational on Saturday-Sunday, April 10-11.
