GREENSBORO, Ga. – Freshman Barend Botha carded a two-under par 70 to lead the Toledo men's golf team during Saturday's second round at this weekend's Linger Longer Invitational. The tournament is being played at the par-72, 7,436-yard Great Waters Golf Course.

Botha is tied for 16^th place in the individual standings with an even-par 144 (74-70). Sophomore NJ Botha shot Toledo's second-best round of the day with a three-over par 75 and is tied for 47^th place at four-over par 148 (73-75).

Sophomore Palmer Yenrick improved his stroke total from the first round by six shots with a four-over par 76 and is tied for 74^th place with a 158 (82-76). Junior David Amm (T-68^th/76-78=150) and senior Nate Thomson (71^st/77-78=155) each shot a six-over par 78 today.

"Barend is continuing to play well which is great to see," Head Coach Jeff Roope said. "NJ grinded through his round, and it was nice to see Palmer play better even though his putter was cold."

Charlotte is sitting at the top of the team standings at 14-under par 562.

The final round of the tournament will be held tomorrow.
