TOLEDO, Ohio – Juniors Eileen Carney and Christina Fuller of the Toledo women's tennis team were named the Mid-American Conference Doubles Team of the Week on Wednesday.
Carney and Fuller teamed up to play on the No. 2 doubles court against Cleveland State last Friday, defeating their Viking counterparts to clinch the doubles point for Toledo in their 5-2 victory. After Toledo won on court No. 3 and CSU won on the No. 1 court, the doubles point came down to Carney and Fuller, who were able to win, 7-6, to help the Rockets come away with the victory over Cleveland State.
Toledo will visit Youngstown State this Friday at 1:00 p.m.
