
Bryant Koback Named to Maxwell Award Watch List

Toledo, Ohio – Toledo junior running back Bryant Koback (Holland, Ohio) was today named to the official Watch List for the 2020 Maxwell Award. The Maxwell Award, named in honor of Robert W. "Tiny" Maxwell, has been given to America's College Player of the Year since 1937.
As a sophomore in 2019, Koback earned second-team All-MAC honors and ranked fourth in the MAC with 1,187 rushing yards. He became the 16th player in Toledo history to crack 1,000 rushing yards in a season and the 18th Rocket to crack 2,000 career rushing yards (2,104). Last week, the Doak Walker Award named Koback a nominee for its award, which annually is given to the nation's top running back.
Semifinalists for the Maxwell Award, which is presented by the Philadelphia-based Maxwell Football Club, will be announced on Nov. 3, and three finalists will be announced on Nov. 23.
