TOLEDO, Ohio— Toledo's women's track and field squad placed 11 student-athletes on the Academic All-MAC team, the league office announced Wednesday.

Amanda Bakley, Rayna Horner, Michelle Hostettler, Yana Khabina, Chloee Kleespies, Riley Kwiatkowski, Atalia Lima, Holly Nation, Stephanie Sherman, Petronela Simiuc, and Claire Steigerwald all earned spots on the Academic All-MAC squad for the 2020 indoor season.

The MAC bestows academic all-conference honors for both the indoor and outdoor seasons. This year, Simiuc earned her fourth overall Academic All-MAC honor while Bakley, Khabina, Kwiatkowski, and Sherman all earned their third. This is the second award for Hostettler, Kleespies, and Lima while Horner, Nation, and Steigerwald are all first-time honorees.

The Academic All-MAC honor is for a student-athlete who has excelled in athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests for that particular sport.
