TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo men's golf team will continue its spring season next week by participating in the 2020 Border Olympics hosted by the University of Houston. The Rockets will play 36 holes on Monday, Feb. 24 and 18 holes on Tuesday, Feb. 25 at the par-72, 7,297-yard Max Mendel Golf Course in Laredo, Texas. An 8:30 a.m. shotgun start will be utilized on both days of competition.
"We are really looking forward to playing in the southwest and having a chance to compete against a lot of teams we don't see normally throughout the season," Head Coach Jeff Roope said. "There are so many good mid-major programs throughout the region it will be fun to see some new faces. With our group of guys playing two weeks in a row, we are hoping to continue to build some momentum early this spring."
Toledo will be competing in a field that includes two teams ranked in the Top 50 of Golfstat's rankings, No. 35 Houston and No. 49 Arkansas State.
